The workplace transformation for recruitment specialist Eden Scott created a distinctive new workplace at 132 Princes Street in the heart of Edinburgh city centre.
Designed around people, connection and evolving business needs, the workplace allows staff to move fluidly between settings over the course of the day. An abundance of task-based spaces supports different activities and working styles, helping to maximise productivity and foster agile, collaborative ways of working.
Open-plan work areas are complemented by private booths, meeting spaces and communal tables, giving employees greater choice over how and where they work. The design celebrates the character of the existing building, with exposed stonework providing a rich backdrop to contemporary architectural interventions.
Natural timber, black metalwork and neutral finishes create a warm yet industrial palette, while bold colour accents bring energy and reflect Eden Scott’s confident identity. Integrated planting introduces a biophilic element, softening the structure and creating an engaging working environment. Suspended lighting and exposed services reinforce its contemporary character, while enclosed pods provide privacy and visual contrast.
Delivered through an integrated approach encompassing interior design, architecture, workplace consultancy, surveying, project management and cost control, the completed office provides Eden Scott with a flexible, characterful workplace that supports its people, culture and continued evolution.
