Trip.com’s flagship UK office in Edinburgh was transformed into a vibrant, human-centric workplace that reimagines the traditional call-centre environment.

Completed in just three months, the project challenged conventional workplace design principles to create an environment centred on employee experience, comfort and connection. Bold concepts, immersive themed spaces and playful details bring energy and individuality to the workplace, while a considered balance of industrial elements, warm finishes and varied settings supports different ways of working.

Biophilic design is integrated throughout, with overhead planting introducing natural texture and helping to create a calmer, more engaging atmosphere. Collaborative areas encourage interaction and creativity, while quieter spaces provide opportunities for focus and retreat.

The result is a memorable and characterful workplace that reflects Trip.com’s energetic culture, supports employee wellbeing and helps attract and retain talent. The project was shortlisted for a British Council for Offices (BCO) Award and received the top national prize at the UK Finishes and Interiors Sector (FIS) Awards. The fit-out was awarded Gold in the Interior Fit-Out Under £1 Million category, recognising its outstanding design quality and execution.
